Seeking Wisdom
It's been quite a week, but sometimes it is wise to be silent on such things.
We are all well, but we are tired.
Good luck, Texas... Louisiana. Louis Farrakhan's words about God's punishment
are ringing in my ears, and I'm just thinking... I don't know...global warming?

I don't think God is punishing anyone. I'm no theological scholar, but I remember something about taking joy in both the good and the bad, because it is all part of His will. Fact is, this is a world in which we don't control nature, no matter how hard we may try. I pray for those suffering due to the hurricanes, and I pray their pain lessons as soon as it can, but I will not turn my back on God due to nature's fury, and I hope others don't as well. I understand the tempation, especially if you have suffered a tragedy, but every minute we have is because He granted it to us.
We punish ourselves...so, yes. Global warming.
God's will? I have no idea, but if it is maybe it was a way help those who were locked into the system and forgotten about. By destroying and flooding their homes and focusing our attention on their plight, maybe something good comes from it that those unfortunate people aren't put back into their housing projects and forgotten again.
But I know that I don't know God's will, but don't feel it was a punishment.
