Where's Ma Bell when you need her?
The phone company has been ripping us off, $5 at a time, for who knows how
long. I just happened to check out the rates listed for various plans while I had
my bill in front of me. Rate listed online for our plan: $69.95. Rate we are
charged: $74.95.
When I called to ask why this was so, the nice woman on the other line
informed me that, yes, rates had gone down since we signed up. Would I like
to pay the lesser amount? YES!!!! GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY, VILLAINS!
THIEVES! Brothers and sisters, we are ripped-off by retailers and service
providers at every turn in this world, but they are not allowed to do it in the
open, so always ALWAYS call to make sure your bills are on the up-and-up.
We all know in the back of our minds that we're being robbed, don't we? BUT
IT'S REALLY TRUE! And do you know the city mileage (ie sitting in traffic, even
on a highway) of the new 2006 Ford Explorer? 15MPG!!! Imagine how many
people are paying $12 a day just to get to work and back-- probably tons in
Philly alone! $240 a month just to drive to work! Don't get me started...

Smelling the whiskey breath of the old guy standing next to you at 7:30am - priceless

Lets not forget the bigger issue. There isn't gonna be much of that petrol stuff left soon. Using that much per mile just isn't a good idea.

But I suppose the faster it gets burned up, the faster people get on the ball with alternative energies. Still, it drives me crazy. That sort of vehicle... oh well. Crazy. It's all I can say.
